Little Tanglewood is our 2 to 3 year old provision.
We have a purpose built log cabin, with it's own Little Tanglewood Garden, which caters for 20 children in the morning session and 12 children in the afternoon session.
The team in Little Tanglewood is led by a senior nursery nurse and a deputy nursery nurse, supported by 3 other nursery nurses/learning support assistants. This allows us a ratio of 1-4.
As part of this team, there are also learning support assistants who work with and support a range of children within the setting who have additional needs.
Little Tanglewood is a well resourced class base that develops across the year based on the needs and interests of the children. In addition to this the children have access to the Little Tanglewood Garden which provides a wide range of opportunities for children to further enrich their learning.
Every child has a fantastic start to their early education. (Parentview, Ofsted Nov 2018)
A reminder of what it means to be two
‘The Property Laws of the Toddler’
- If I like it, it’s mine.
- If it’s in my hand its’ mine.
- If I can take it from you, it’s mine.
- If it’s mine, it must never appear to be yours, in any way.
- If I had it a little while ago, its mine.
- If I’m doing or building something, all the pieces are mine.
- If it looks just like mine, its mine.
- If I think it’s mine, it’s mine.
