What to do when your child is ill...

Starting school is lots of fun but sometimes meeting lots of new children and new adults means that the exposure to common childhood illnesses is greater. Usually in the first few months of starting school, most children will catch a cough or a cold and whilst it is still prevalent this may also include COVID.

Our advice to parents is that if your child is not well, then the best place for them is at home where they can rest and recover. However, if you are not sure what to do then give us a call and we can always signpost you to where to get help and advice.

DON'T FORGET - If you do keep your child at home, please report their absence to the school office via the school app, the school email: admissions@tanglewood.essex.sch.uk or by phone  01245352788. As part of our safeguarding procedures we have a one day calling policy in place and will follow up any school absence
